I have recently been motivated to work on some portrait drawings again. I haven't done any in atleast 10 years. The inpspiration comes from thinking about faces for clay, I'm sure. I figure doing some flat portraits will definately allow me to brush up on getting used to looking at faces. I realized a trend however. The portraits I like are high contrast and if I can work some hands into it, even better. I'm stuck with my first clay angel; a fear of doing hands. I also need to get some more contrast with the face coloring. Victor's a whole other story.

Daniel Craig was a challenge! My first drawing like this in over 12 years. It's still rough behind the ears, but here's the sketched out version.
